As compliance with AML regulations rolls on for the banking industry and grabs other financial service sectors by the neck, we believe publishing a newsletter that generates thought, sparks conversation and provides meaningful and practical advice on how to make an AML compliance program better will bolster efforts to contain financial crime and terrorist financing.

When we say this newsletter will bring "practical" advice we mean we will offer suggestions to improve a compliance program through examples that have a proven record of being effectively implemented with a reasonable amount of effort and resources; have withstood audit and regulatory examination; and, have a long term view towards maintaining cost effective AML compliance.

Who is getting this newsletter? Readers will include AML compliance professionals, general compliance practitioners, senior officers at all different kinds of financial institutions, regulators and law enforcement. We hope the last two groups become avid and active readers so perhaps we can also help all those whose objectives and missions are supposed to be in sync to be just that — a little more in sync.
